Nikola Tesla的作品

Nikola Tesla (1856–1943) was born to a Serbian family in a village in today's Croatia, studied engineering in Graz and emigrated to America in 1884, where he worked briefly for Thomas Edison. His alternating-current motor and power system, backed by George Westinghouse, won the battle of the currents against Edison's direct current.

He experimented with wireless power, radio and high-voltage electricity, and dreamed of a worldwide wireless network, but died poor in a New York hotel. The unit of magnetic field is named after him, and the library holds his lectures on alternating currents.
