In these linked stories, Bertie Wooster's friend Bingo Little falls in love with a new girl in almost every chapter, from a waitress to a romantic novelist, and Bertie must help him win over his rich uncle; Bertie is pursued by his formidable Aunt Agatha's plans to marry him off; and at a country house the guests bet on everything, from the length of the local sermons to the village school races. Each time, Jeeves quietly arranges a solution.
P. G. Wodehouse published the book in 1923, and it is one of the funniest of the Jeeves and Wooster books. Read My Man Jeeves and Leave It to Psmith.
