Every book written in Arabic in the library, whatever its subject: classics of poetry, prose, history and philosophy, works of the nineteenth-century Arab renaissance, and thousands of contemporary titles. You will find al-Jahiz, al-Ma'arri and Ibn Khaldun, the historical novels of Jurji Zaydan, the essays of al-Manfaluti and the writings of Kahlil Gibran, with tens of thousands of poems from pre-Islamic times to the modern era.
