À propos du livre

Ten years after the fall of Troy, Odysseus has still not come home to Ithaca, where suitors crowd his palace, eating up his wealth and pressing his wife Penelope to marry one of them. The poem follows his son Telemachus in search of news, then Odysseus himself, who tells the Phaeacians of his wanderings: the Lotus-eaters, the Cyclops Polyphemus, the witch Circe, the visit to the dead, the Sirens, Scylla and Charybdis, and seven years on Calypso's island. At last he lands at home in disguise and takes his revenge.
