アル・ワッラーク図書館とは？
Al-Warraq Library is an open index that brings together more than a million books whose copyright has expired, from the classics of world literature to the great works of the Arabic heritage, along with tens of thousands of classical Arabic poems and thousands of modern Arabic books. We host no files: we sort the books, classify them and give them Arabic titles, then take you to the copy at its original, legal source, such as Project Gutenberg, HathiTrust, Wikisource, Safahat (the Hindawi Foundation) or Open Library.
The name honours the warraqs of Abbasid Baghdad, the copyists and booksellers whose market was a meeting place for scholars and readers. We try to do the same with today's tools: a search that understands Arabic and forgives spelling slips, categories from novels and poetry to history, philosophy, science and horror, and author pages that gather each writer's works in one place.
