Free audiobooks you can listen to right here, chapter by chapter, or download whole to hear wherever you like. They are all recordings from LibriVox, a worldwide volunteer project whose readers record texts that are out of copyright and give their recordings to the public domain; the Internet Archive keeps the audio files.

The collection now holds two hundred books: three in Arabic, Kalila wa Dimna, al-Kawakibi's Tabai al-Istibdad and al-Mawardi's Adab al-Dunya wa al-Din; English readings of works from the Arab and Eastern heritage such as the Arabian Nights, Hayy ibn Yaqzan, the travels of Ibn Battuta, Gibran's Prophet and Scott's Talisman, with Saladin among its heroes; classics of world literature, from fairy tales to Sherlock Holmes, Shakespeare, Dostoevsky and The Great Gatsby; and books of philosophy, history and lives, with two for learners of English. Every book has its own page with our notes on it, its readers, its length and its chapters, and the player remembers where you stopped, so you can pick up where you left off.
